Eden Reforestation Projects Partnership

In January 2020 I began my partnership with the Eden Reforestation Projects. For every pair of earrings sold on my website and Etsy shop I donate a percentage of the money to Eden, who will plant a tree which helps to restore healthy forests around the world and reduce poverty.
Sustainability and ethics are close to my heart. By planting trees around the world in Ethiopia, Madagascar, Nepal, Haiti, Indonesia and Mozambique we are:
- Restoring animal habitats
- Helping to restore local rainfall patterns
- Improving water purity
- Increasing soil quality by preventing flooding and soil erosion
In addition to the above environmental benefits, Eden hires local villagers to plant the trees, providing them with a decent income so that they can provide for their families.
I am so excited to welcome Eden as a partner!
No Single Use Plastic
All my jewellery is carefully packaged in FSC certified tissue paper printed with soy-based ink and is then presented in either a white branded box made from paper or a card made from 100% recycled cotton. These cards are made from t-shirt offcuts and would have otherwise ended up in landfill.
I post orders in cardboard boxes and if any bubble wrap is used at all it is wrap I have received and am reusing.
In my studio I store the earrings in glassine paper bags.
Less waste
Fast fashion is second only to oil as the world's largest polluter. (1) By shopping with small brands and independent designers you are automatically cutting down on the mass production of fashion by huge companies.
All jewellery is handmade by me and my promise is to always ensure as little waste as possible. Any offcuts of clay are saved and used for my 'limited edition' collection (one off designs) and I only make up to 5 of each earrings style at any time, meaning I will never have tons of dead stock.
As I grow and learn I will continue to do my absolute best to stay as positive for the environment as I possibly can. We've only got one world, it's up to us to look after it.
